WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT
1. I am fully aware of the risks and hazards connected with the activities of participating in HackPrague, and I am aware that such activities include the risk of injury, and I hereby elect to voluntarily participate in said activities, knowing that the activities may be hazardous to my property and me. I understand that HackPrague does not require me to participate in this activity. I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks of loss, property damage, or personal injury, that may be sustained by me or any loss or damage to property owned by me, as a result of being engaged in such an activities, to the fullest extent allowed by Czech law.
2. I further hereby to waive the right of compensation for injury, loss, liability, damage, or costs in connection with my participation in said activities, WHETHER CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE or otherwise, to the fullest extent allowed by Czech law.

Declaration of Consent for the Storage and Use of Data
- Data Protection Requirements
We take the protection of our participants' personal data very seriously. Therefore, we promise to apply the Czech legal requirements for data protection, in particular the requirements pursuant to regulation 2016/679, on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (GDPR) to ensure adequate protection and safety of personal data. Personal data are any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual. In particular, we will store the following personal data provided by you: Email Address, First Name, Last Name, Mobile, Country, College/University, Employment, Department, Your Degree Program, T-Shirt Size, Expected Graduation, Skills, Dietary Restrictions.
Processing of Your Data Required for Providing Services to You
We, HackPrague, z.s., organize the HackPrague Hackathon website which shall enable interested parties to register for the event using our website and collect information about the HackPrague Hackathon.
For that purpose, you confirm that HackPrague, z.s. is authorized to:
- use, and
- otherwise process
the following personal data that is stored about you when you apply for the event using the registration form:
- Email Address,
- First Name,
- Last Name,
- Degree Program,
- T-Shirt Size,
- Expected Graduation,
- Dietary Restrictions.
Processing of these data is necessary to allow you to participate in the HackPrague Hackathon. Otherwise, we cannot accept you as a HackPrague Hackathon participant as we could not provide the requested service (participation in the HackPrague Hackathon) to you.
Processing of Data Required to Improve Our Services to You
In addition to the data described in the previous section, the HackPrague, z.s. collects data about the use of the HackPrague Hackathon website for improving usability of the website. For that purpose, the HackPrague Hackathon website uses “cookies”, i. e. files stored on your computer. These cookies are intended for recognizing visitors and for supporting user experience.
During the course of the HackPrague Hackathon, staff and press at the event location may be taking photographs of the participants. On some occasions video and audio footage may also be taken. Photographs/video may be distributed to participants of these events, as well as staff who were involved in the organisation of the HackPrague Hackathon.
By submitting your application, you give your consent to HackPrague, z.s to use any photographs/videos used for the marketing purposes. HackPrague may publish these photographs/videos on its own website. If you do not agree with this publication of your personal data, please opt out where required or inform the data controller by using the contact information below and explicitly specifying your request.
Other Use of Data and Disclosure
HackPrague, z.s can be obliged by authorities to hand out personal data by statutory obligation.
HackPrague, z.s is entitled to keep your personal data for the period of three years. After expiration of this period, HackPrague, z.s will destroy personal data provided by you and/or photographs and/or video recordings in accordance with relevant statutory provisions.
Transfer/share of your personal data
HackPrague, z.s. will share personal data provided by you (and your CV in particular) with its partners. The full list of HackPrague Hackathon partners can be found on our website www.hackprague.com and will be updated regularly.
The partners are entitled to keep your personal data for the period of three years. They are entitled to use your personal data for commercial purposes, namely for contacting you with personal and/or job offers, offers of their services and products or offer of their events.
We hereby guarantee that the partners and other persons to whom personal data will be transferred abide by the necessary security provisions governing data protection and that the transfer of your personal data itself fulfils all requirements of the relevant statutory provision.
HackPrague, z.s. will not use and transfer personal data to additional other third parties without your prior agreement.
How do we protect and safeguard your information?
Data provided by you to us and photographies/ video recordings will be stored on servers of external contractors abiding by the necessary security provisions.
Deletion and Correction of Data
You can cancel the agreement for the storage and processing of your personal data at any time. In this case, we also will have to cancel your registration and use of the HackPrague Hackathon website. Personal data that are required for the execution of a contract that was agreed with you before the receipt of the cancellation will be deleted after completion of that contract. In case of legal obligation, your data will be stored solely for this purpose. The data will then be deleted automatically after the completion of the contract and after the legally required data retention period. Also, you can ask HackPrague, z.s. for the correction of inaccuracies in the information related to yourself.
